THE TENTH CONGRESS OF HANOI CITY FARMER’S ASSOCIATION, TERM 2023-2028, A BRILLIANT SUCCESS

During two days, September 20–21, 2023, the Hanoi Farmers’ Association successfully organized the 10th Congress of Hanoi Farmers’ Association delegates, term 2023–2028, at the Friendship Cultural Palace, Viet Soviet.

Attending the Congress were Politburo members: Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of Hanoi’s National Assembly Delegation Dinh Tien Dung; Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers’ Association Luong Quoc Doan; Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen; Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee (People’s Committee) of Hanoi City Tran Sy Thanh; Chairman of the People’s Council (People’s Council) of Hanoi City Nguyen Ngoc Tuan; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong and comrades in the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.

Also attending were leaders of departments, branches, and socio-political organizations of the city; leaders of party committees of districts, towns, and cities; leaders of the Farmers’ Associations in different periods; and representatives of the Farmers’ Associations of provinces and cities. In particular, the Congress had the presence of 344 official delegates, typical officials, and members representing over 466,000 farmer members across the city.

With the spirit of “Solidarity – Responsibility – Creativity – Cooperation – Development”, the 10th Congress of the Hanoi Farmers’ Union will promote collective intelligence and raise the spirit and sense of responsibility. Responsible for officials and members of the Capital’s farmer associations. The Congress focused on discussing, analyzing, and clarifying the advantages, disadvantages, and causes of weakness and limitations in the 2018–2023 term.

At the same time, it pointed out the opportunities, advantages, difficulties, and challenges for agriculture, farmers, and rural areas of the capital, thereby determining the correct direction, goals, tasks, and solutions of the association’s work in the 2023–2028 term and creating a new development step for the association’s work. and the peasant movement contribute to building and developing the “civilized-modern” capital.

The Congress is responsible for summarizing and evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 9th Congress of the City Farmers’ Union, term 2018-2023; determining the direction, goals, and tasks of the association’s work and the farmers’ movement for the 2023-2028 term.
